Our Onboarding process is a great opportunity to fully integrate you as a Flinker into the team. You'll learn about what your day-to-day will look like, who your Hub Manager will be, and what it's like to be part of Flink!
Proper onboarding ensures that new Pickers are confident in their duties and feel part of the team from day one. Here's what to expect:
1. Before Your First Day

Contract Signing
Your onboarding begins with signing your employment contract with Flink.

Welcome Email
After signing, you’ll receive a welcome email containing essential information and instructions.
2. Onboarding Components
Your onboarding includes two main parts:

An Onboarding Shift at your assigned hub.

Online onboarding training via EduMe

You'll receive all necessary access details at the hub if not provided earlier.

3. Onboarding Day Structure

Welcome & Introduction
Start the day with a warm welcome and an introduction to Flink’s mission, values, and your new role.

Picker Role Training
Learn the fundamentals of your role, including:- The picking process and workflows

Proper product handling and shelf organization

Hub Safety Training
A session covering safety protocols and health guidelines for the hub.

Food Safety Training
Focused training on hygiene and food safety standards.

Hands-On Training with a Picker Buddy
You’ll work alongside an experienced Picker who will show you:- How to use the picking device/app
- Efficient product location and selection

How to prepare orders for the Rider handover

Operational Training by Hub Manager or Ops Associate+
You’ll be trained on:- Clocking in and out procedures

Submitting your availability for scheduling
4. Next Steps
After completing your onboarding, you'll be ready to start your regular shifts as a Flink Picker.
